William Christenberry & RaMell Ross: “Desire Paths” at Pace Gallery NYC

Recently I had the opportunity to visit Pace Gallery in New York City and experience its fantastic exhibition of works by William Christenberry and Ramell Ross. The show was a great combination of both artists’ styles, bringing together their different perspectives on life.

I arrived at the gallery in anticipation, expecting to be wowed by what I saw inside. As soon as I stepped into the space, it was clear that this would not be an ordinary art viewing experience! From mesmerizing landscapes featuring rolling hills and vivid skies to abstract pieces with bold colors and shapes - each painting was unique yet connected to each other through their shared aesthetic.

The highlight of my visit were two installations from Christenberry and Ross which featured elements from nature such as foliage, leaves, bark, branches and twigs mixed with found objects like plastic bottles or metal cans that had been transformed into something new entirely. Each piece made me think more deeply about how we interact with our environment - how we can take something mundane like a branch or leaf but craft it into something beautiful if given enough time and attention. It really emphasized the idea that there is beauty everywhere around us if only we chose to discover it!

As someone who has always been interested in fine art but never able to delve deep into its many nuances until now – this exhibit truly opened my eyes up to new possibilities within art itself! If you have a chance during your next trip out east – make sure you pay Pace Gallery a visit for this memorable show!
